Death toll from coronavirus exceeds one thousand in Turkey

	NEWS CENTER - The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases has reached 47,029 while 307,210 people have been tested.

	Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca held a press conference following the meeting of the Science Council on Friday.

	 

	Koca put emphasis on the importance of isolation and called on people to comply with the measures taken across the country to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

	 

	The minister announced that the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases has reached 47,029 while 307,210 people have been tested.

	 

	On the other hand, the death toll rose to 1,006 with the death of another 98 patients on Friday when 30,864 people were tested, 4,747 being positive.

	 

	In the meantime, 1,667 people are held in intensive care and 1,062 are intubated. 2,423 of those infected have recovered.
