112 Emergency Service: We don't even have masks, we don't know we won't be infected tomorrow 2020-03-19 15:01:02 DİYARBAKIR - While it was revealed that the 112 Emergency Service do not have protective equipment to protect themselves, it was learned that two floors of Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Education and Research Hospital was evacuated and turned into a quarantine unit for coronavirus patients. The number of the people lost their lives due to coronavirus exceeded 8 thousand. While the Ministry of Health announced that only 2 people lost their lives in Turkey, the tension increases for the people who thinks that the measures taken are not enough.    The first two floors of Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Education and Reseaech Hospital is evacuated and reserved for coronavirus patients.    On the other hand, the dialogue a patient who had an organ transplant who called the 112 Emergency Service, reveals how grave the situation is.   DIALOGUE BEWTEEN THE CALL SERVICE AND THE CITIZEN   Citizen: I had an organ transplant. I can't find any masks or sanitizers. Does the ministry have a plan about this?   112 Employee: No, they don't. But if you want you can call 184 (Number for coronavirus cases).   Citizen: I did. I applied to the hospital I used to work. They said a package of mask is 180 liras. I don't have an income to pay that amount.   112 Employee: There is nothing we can do right now. We can not do anything as well..   Citizen: There is no authorities to make a complaint or make an application.   112 Employee: We don't know what will happen. There is nothing we can do or we can say to you. We don't even have masks. We don't know if we will be infected tomorrow. That's why I can't help you.
