Kurdish parties: We should flock to Newroz with the spirit of national unity 2020-03-12 14:22:00 DİYARBAKIR - Newroz celebrations kicked off with the attandance of the Kurdish political parties carrying out their work with national unity. The represantatives of Kurdish parties that will convey their messages to Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria, invited everyone to Newroz celebrations with the spirit of national unity.  Newroz celebrations kicked off yesterday with the slogan “Ji bo azadî, yekîtî, demokrasî” (For democracy, justice, freedom) with the attandance of Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Peoples Democratic Congress (HDK), Free Women's Movement (TJA), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Azadî Party, Revolutionary Democratic Kurdish Association (DDKD), Human and Freedom Party (PIA), the Kurdistan Communist Party (KKP) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP-Bakur). The Newroz celebrations kicked off for the first time with the attandance of the Kurdish parties.      Underlining that the people should put pressure on all parties on national unity, Çiftyürek stated that they are at the beginning of the road about unity and continued as follows: "This is just the first step. We must work on it hard to make it work. There is a great responsibility on our people too. We are telling our intellectuals, our mothers; put pressure on our parties. Our slogan must be national unity in this years Newroz. If our people flocks to the celebrations strong this year, it will be a message to Turkey. The Kurdish people are strong, they are an actor in this geography. And the other message would be to the 4 states. They'd say 'Kurds are standing strong in all 4 pieces. If we covet their gains, we will lose. Therefore we have to recognize them'. In this sense, we must flock to the Newroz celebrations this year to make a statement.   Underlining that this alliance is a motivation both for the Kurdish parties and for the people, Çiftyürek said: "The month March is both a source of joy and mourning for our people. We will do all that in our power to highlight the joy of our people and reduce their mourning. We will ofcourse claim our mourning but we hope that the Kurdish people will no longer face new mournings in the upcoming Newrox celebrations and won't go through new Halabjas and Efrins. We invite all our people to Newroz celebrations.     MA / Mehmet Şah Oruç
