The Center for Socio-Political Field Studies investigated the violence against women and children reflected in the press.   The press said 38, the reality said 1,792   The research, which was carried out scanning the media, covered the period between 1 January  2019 and 1 January 2020.   The Center found that between these dates, 2,563 cases of violence were reflected in the press. However the violence cases reported to civil society and professional organizations were more than those reflected in the press.   For example, while 38 violent incidents were reported by the media in Amed, the number of violent incidents reported to civil society and professional organizations was 1,792.   Despite the fact that 38 cases were reflected in the press in Amed, according to the application reports made to non-governmental organizations and professional organizations, it was pointed out that the application made for violence was 792 thousand.   The research emphasized that suicide rates were not shared with the public.   "As seen in the example of Diyarbakır, the number of cases referred tocivil society and professional organizations was around 1,792, while the number of cases reflected in the press was around 38.
