Güven: You can't declare 50 million people 'terrorists' 2020-02-22 14:48:28   DİYARBAKIR - DTK Co-Chair Leyla Güven who accused the AKP government of declaring everyone who is not from AKP of being a terrorist, addressed the government and said: "You can't declare 50 million people terrorists'.   The Chamber of Civil Engineers (İMO) Diyarbakır Branch held the 24th Term General Assembly in their building. Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Guven, Republican People's Party (CHP) Diyarbakir Provincial Chair Gönül Özel and representatives of non-governmental organizations participated in the General Assembly election.   DTK Co-Chair Leyla Güven emphasized the necessity of a change in the society in the face of everything that has been going on in this country lately.   Güven stating that social problems keep increasing in Turkey, drew attention to the fact that women are being killed everyday by the hand of the male dominated system. Emphasizing that the society is faced with unemployment and hunger, Güven said: "These social problems are an alarm. We can not think this seperately from the Kurdish question. These problems will continue unless we solve the Kurdish question. Why? Because no matter who comes to power, they all say 'Don't interfere with my way of ruling.' This can not happen. You cannot declare 50 million people as terrorists. Is this possible?   Güven who continued her words by saying: "We are here. We have a language and an identity. We are Kurdish. The name of our lands is Kurdistan, stated that the government declares everyone who is not one of them as a terrorist. Güven said: "People's houses are collapsing on their heads. Every academic, journalist, women, engineer have become a 'terrorist' in this country. Both the world and the society knows what a 'terrorist' is. The terrorist is this government who let its people starve. The terrorist is this government who burned people alive in the basements in Cizre and leave the dead body of Taybet İnan on the street for days."
