At the conference which aims to make the women's struggle organized, preparations are made for a feminist strike.   The Purple Solidarity will hold its 2nd Turkey Women's Conference on February 8-9 in İstanbul. The conference will be attended by women and women's organizations from many cities, as well as from Middle Eastern, European, Asian and Latin American countries. On the first day of the conference, Purple Platform will be established in the Kadıköy Marriage Office. İstanbul Women's Orchestra will have a performance in the evening.    The second day of the conference will be held in United Metal Union Conference Hall with the topics: 'A new era in feminism and socialist feminist struggle', 'International women's strike: A new era in the women's struggle', 'Neoliberalism and impasse of women's labour', Femicide and the changing faces of violence', 'Search for new organization methods in the women's struggle in 21st century', 'The presence of women in local administrations and new approaches to local administration', 'The importance of self- defense on the road to liberation', 'LGBTI+ movement and the unity of feminism' and 'The reality and the struggle of immigrant women'.     Gamze Özkök from Purple Solidarity who stated that they have been preparing for the conference for over a year, said that first they the council will be elected and a forum will be held where unionists, political party represantatives and women's organizations will express their opinions and the main discussions will be held on the second day. Özkök pointing out that the next two years of the women's struggle will be planned on the second day, said: “We will discuss how to transform the spontaneous women's struggle into an organized force. We will discuss the international women's struggle. There is a struggle for women around the world that constantly affects each other. While tens of thousands of women took the streets against abortion in Poland, women in Sudan took the streets against the existing dictatorship. We can say the same thing for Europe and other countries. There is a struggle that affects and supports each other and in this sense, international struggle is very important and stimulating for us. One of the most important thing in our agenda is to organize a feminist strike. Important decisions will be taken at the conference."   Expressing that one of the most important topics to be discussed at the conference is 'self defense',  Özkök said: "Women are faced with serious cases of violence at home from their spouse, our outside from their boyfriends and the police, they are facing family pressure etc. As the Purple Solidarity, self- defense is our most important issue and we will deal with this issue in a broad sense at the conference."   Özkök made a call to the women to attend the conference.
