Malatya Governorate: 430 buildings collapsedAFAD: 16 thousand 326 buildings damaged 2020-01-29 12:45:41 MALATYA - Malatya Governorate, explaining the balance sheet of the earthquake, noted that 4 people lost their lives, 481 people were injured and 430 houses were destroyed.   On 24 January 2020, Malatya Governorate announced the balance sheet of the earthquake that occurred in Sivrice District of Elazig Province. The governor's office noted that 481 people applied to health centers, 21 of them are still being treated.   IN the investigations carried out in Elazığ, AFAD announced that 16 thousand 326 buildings were damaged and 3 thousand 442 of them are heavily damaged.   The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) made a written statement about the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Sivrice district of Elazığ, where 41 people died and more than 600 people were injured. In the statement it was announced that the search and rescue process is completed and 41 citizens died as a result of the earthquake. The statement also said that 1539 of the 1607 citizens are discharged from the hospital while 68 people are still being treated. 11 citizens are currently in intensive care.    In the statement, it was recorded that 22 earthquakes with magnitude greater than 4 have occurred so far and the total number of aftershocks is 279 thousand.
