Urfa Governor declared ban on public activities for 30 days 2019-12-21 12:45:31 NEWS CENTER - The Governor of Urfa has declared a ban of all public actions, press releases and rallies for 30 days. Urfa Governorate announced that all public activities and events such as marches, press releases and rallies were banned for 30 days.   In a written statement from the governor's office, the prohibition decision stated that the ban would not include those activities "deemed appropriate by the governorship and district governor”. The ban will stay in place until 17 January 2020.   The statement said: "Except for those activities deemed appropriate by the Governorship and District Governorship, all kinds of publich events and activities such as signing campaigns, meetings, marches, press conferences, hunger strike, sit-in, rallies, information tents, distributing leaflets, hanging banners, writing and similar activities, including participation from other provinces, are banned for a period of 30 days between 19 December 2019 and 17 January 2020."
