New Mayor 'selected' for Ceylanpınar Municipality

	URFA - Feyyaz Soylu from AKP is selected to be the new mayor of Ceylanpınar Municipality to replace AKP's Abdullah Aksak whose mendate was cancelled by the YSK.

	A new mayor was selected to replace Ceylanpınar Mayor Abdullah Aksak whose mandate was cancelled by the Supreme Board of Elections (YSK) because he owned an unregistered gun before he was 18. 15 councilors from AKP, 5 councilors from HDP and 5 councilors from DP participated in the election.

	 

	AKP's candidate Feyyaz Soylu was elected Mayor by receiving 18 votes, as three DP members voted for the AKP. Mahmut Dağtekin, a member of the HDP, received all votes of his party and remained at five votes. Another candidate Veysi Aba also received 2 votes.
