Turan: Decisions about our party are law of war decisions 2019-11-07 11:22:15 MERSİN - HDP Mersin MP Rıdvan Turan who said the political, administrative and legal repression methods against HDP resembles the law of war decisions, stated that the government introduced the judiciary packages because they know their government will not last any longer. Turan stated that AKP government have been increasing their attacks against the opposition after their defeat in the last elections to maintain their authority.   Turan also criticized the attitude of the judiciary to the former deputies of their party and said that this was not an issue that could be explained by the judiciary. Commenting on the attacks on their party in the form of conspiracies and organized court decisions, Turan continued his speech as follows: "The court decisions about Selahattin Demirtaş and Abdullah Zeydan can not be explained by justice or law. This is a law of war. We've been saying that they're political hostages. But when Erdoğan came out and said 'We will do what is needed', he announced the world that it is not a legal process  but a conspiracy organized by the 'palace' and a hostage situation. Therefore, it is unfortunately not possible to make a prediction considering the legal process. However, the most important feature of the law is that it is predictable. The citizen knows what will happen to them according to their actions. But because the judiciary is run by the palace, this is the picture we are looking at. I think this process will go further and deeper a little bit more. People would not take it seriously if they knew what is happening here anywhere in the world. But we are going through that thing people would not even believe. This is a nightmare."
