
Derik Municipality Co-Mayor and Members of Parliament were taken into custody

	MARDİN - 9 people including Mardin, Derik Co-Mayor Şerif Kıran and HDP Council members were taken into custody in Derik, located in the border where Turkey's attacks continue.

	&nbsp;

	Early this morning, 9 people were taken under custody during home raids in Mardin city center, Derik and Kızıltepe. In the raids, Derik Municipality Co-Mayor Şerif Kıran, Kızıltepe Municipality Council Members Hasip Özdemir and Halil Yağan, Savur Municipality Council Member Derya Akyol, Midyat Municipality Council Member Mehmet Ali Atuğ, HDP Mardin Province Administrator Abidin Ünay and Ayten Esmez, Şemsettin Duman and Felemez Özgün were taken into custody.

	Those taken under custody was taken to Mardin Provincial Police Department. The reason of their detaintion remains unknown.
