Thousands Mass on the Syrian Border: Human Shield Action Begins 2019-10-07 18:32:02   NEWS CENTER - Thousands of North East Syrians descended on the borderline to defend their lands against the operation Turkey is to launch. Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians, Armenians and Turkmens protesting the withdrawal of the Coalition Forces, starting a human shield at the border. Thousands are rallying from Haseké to Qamislo, Til Koçer to Giré Spî.   Representatives of political parties and NGOs support the march. The rally continues with the banner 'No to Turkey's  occupation of North and East Syria'.   Speaking in a press statement after the march, Girkê Legê District Council Co-Chair Mihemed Cemil said:  "Our people who have been resisting for years and continue to struggle know that there is only one way ahead of us. It is our honor to protect our land. Its my call to all peoples; they should be united and ready to fight.”   Abdulxaliq Abdullah who spoke on behalf of the tribes in Til Hemis said: "Turkey has a dark history. They help terror pass to our lands and left Syria in ruins. Turkey does not let the people live by their will and imposes their will on people. We will stand against this."   Thousands marched to the borders in Girê Spî with the photographs of their loved ones that they have lost to ISIS. Thousands forming human chains towards the Turkey border, protested the threats of operations.   On the other hand, the people of Grî Spî will set up tents in the village of Nis Til and Minbeteh Neighborhood and Nis Til and Mişêrfa Azo and start a human shield action.
