ÇHD Secretary General Aslan: Judicial package is a replication

	İZMİR - ÇHD Secretary General Tuba Nergis Aslan, stating that the judicial reform package is just a replication, said: "If you ask what will it change for the leftist, for the opposition. It will change nothing."

	The content of the judicial package brought up by AKP continues to be discussed. Millions of people are locked on to the statements made about the package. Contemporary Lawyer's Association Secretary General Tuba Nergis Aslan evaluated the package pending approval from the parliament.

	 

	Aslan, emphasizing that there are no changes in the package, said the content is merely a replication of the previous. Aslan expressing that a need for a change arised from the continued unlawfulnesses, said that there are positive improvements regarding the freedom of thought and expression but the changes are nowhere near to the operation of real justice. Aslan recalling that many regulations in the domestic law was ignored during the state of emergency (OHAL), said that the judiciary is being used like a tool by the goverment without having the need to change the constitution. Aslan said: "“When we examine what is presented as a new judicial package, there is an arrangement of 38 articles. What will these articles bring to the left, to the opposition in terms of freedom? It wlll change nothing."
