Democracy watch on day 19 2019-09-06 13:30:39 DİYARBAKIR - The Democracy watch launched against the appointment of trustees to HDP Municipalities continues on its 19th day.   The democracy watch launched to protest the appointment of trustees in Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality (DBB) Co-Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı by the Ministry of Interrior continues on its 19th day. HDP deputies, Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) executives, Peace Mothers' Assembly and members of MEBYA-Der, as well as hundreds of citizens participated in the watch on the High School Street. While the police blockade continues on Lise Street where the sit in is held, citizens are protesting the appointments of trustees with slogans, whistles and applauses. Citizens express their thoughts on the free stand established in the protest area.   Democracy Watch has been visited by many political parties, associations, trade union representatives, writers, intellectuals and academicians since the first day, was today visited by İstanbul Religion Scholars Association, Lawyers for Freedom Association (ÖHD), South East and East Associations Federation executives.   Participants in the Democracy Watch are expected to make a press release after the sit in.
