
The photos taken by journalist in Newroz considered to be evidence of crime

	BATMAN - A law suit was was filed against journalist &nbsp;Deniz Kılıç, a former employee of Azadiya Welat Newspaper that was closed with a law decree.

	&nbsp;

	A law suit was filed against the former Batman representative of Azadiye Welat Newspaper Deniz Kılıç due to his shares in social media. An indicment was prepared for Kılıç who was detained for a brief period and was released afterwards in May.&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	Batman Chief Prosecutor's Office claimed that 7 photographs taken by Kılıç and shared in Facebook was propaganda of an illegal organization. The indictment requires a sentence of up to 5 years for Kılıç on charges of “making propaganda for an organization' for the photographs taken in press releases and Newroz celebrations.

	Kılıç who spoke to Mesopotamia Agency (MA) said the allegations about him are not true. Kılıç emphasizing that he shared the photos he took in legal and legitimate demos and celebrations, said: "A new file was suited against me. I am being prosecuted for my journalistic activities."

	&nbsp;

	The first hearing of the case against Kılıç will be held in Batman 2nd High Criminal Court on 28 November.
