	ŞIRNAK - Thousands of families are left with no water in Cizre, as the water level of the Tigris River fell due to the closure of the Ilısu Dam, which floods Hasankeyf.

	The water level of Tigris River reduced alarmingly by the closure of the dam covers of the Ilısu Dam, which will flood Hasankeyf that has a 12 thousand year old history and is home to archaeological findings.This situation caused thousands of families not to be given water in Cizre district of Şırnak where the river passes through.

	According to the statement made by Cizre Municipality the pumps can't provide enough water due to the reduced water level of the river. With that, the municipality teams started working in the area where the pumps are located, to raise the water level. According to the information obtained, the work to raise the water level is almost complete.

	In the statement, it was announced that citizens in need of water can request water through the relevant units.
