Speaking Kurdish under custody is forbidden! 2019-08-08 11:52:43   BATMAN - Members of HDP Youth Council who were taken under custody while carrying out a watch in Hasankeyf, stating that they were battered under custody, said they were not allowed to speak in Kurdish and were strip searched in front of the cameras.   While the struggle of non-governmental organizations, political parties and ecological movements is continuing to prevent the 12-year-old Hasankeyf district of Batman from being flooded by the Ilisu Dam, People's Democratic Party (HDP) Young Women and Youth Assembly announced that they will mobilize. On August 5, the action carried out by HDP Young Women and Youth Assembly was intervened by the police and 19 people were detained as a result. The people who were battered, was taken to Provincial Security Directorate and were released after their depositions.     Sema Can (17), a member of the assembly,stating that they were surrounded by the police, said: "They made us listen to nationalist marches in the police car. They insulted us and said we were not allowed to speak in Kurdish."
