New regime's Parliamentary report: The bag bills of the government pass while the opposition is being silenced 2019-07-22 14:13:08 ANKARA - During the first year of parliamentary practice of the presidential government system, the laws of the AKP-MHP alliance passed while the research and question proposals of the opposition were rejected. In one year, 14 bags of law became law, and 633 summaries were prepared for opposition      The legislative activity of Turkey's Grand National Assembly (Parliament) which was put into practice on June 24, 2018 is intermitted on June 18.The first year of the new regime of the Assembly, which will be opened on October 1 at 15.00, worked only for the AKP-MHP alliance.     The number of legislative proposals brought to Parliament in the legislative period left behind is 2 thousand 81 in total. Within this figure, 40 law proposals were accepted, 57 are brought to agenda and for 983 commissions were established.     13 of the proposals of CHP who actually gave 972 research proposals, were accepted and 959 of them were taken into the agenda. Only 7 of the research proposals of a total of 322 proposals of HDP were accepted. 7 of 170 research proposals of IYI Party were accepted while 1 was rejected. 9 of the 77 research proposals of MHP were accepted and 68 were brought into agenda. 9 of the 19 research proposals of AKP were accepted and the other 10 was brought into agenda.     Accordingly, 13 thousand 488 written questions were processed during the 1-year period from July 7, 2018 to July 10, 2019, when the 27 Legislative Period began. CHP tabled 10 thousand 63, HDP tabled 926, IYI Party tabled 125 parliamentary question proposals. MHP tabled 300 parliamentary question proposals, while Turkiye Labourers Party tabled 7, Democrat Party tabled 3 and the independent MP's tabled 8.     Only 27 of the 464 research proposals submitted by the opposition parties were accepted. With the joint research proposal of the parties, 6 commissions were established in order to examine the effects of information and technology addiction, to protect medicinal and aromatic plants, to determine the prevalence of down syndrome, autism and other developmental disorders, to identify the problems and solutions experienced by ALS, SMA patients and to protect animal rights. And a commission determined to be established to investigate suspicious child deaths, Rabia Naz Vatan being in the first place.     On the other hand, the opposition's questions and research proposals concerning economic crisis and poverty, violence and sexual abuse against women and children, and the democratic solution of the Kurdish problem were rejected and the commissions requested were not established.
