Tuma Çelik: 2013 declaration must be put into practice 2019-06-08 10:35:04 İSTANBUL - HDP Mardin MP Tuma Çelik who stated that with the start of the dialogue with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan a mistake was corrected, said the 2013 declaration still survives and it must be put into practice.     The AKP government, which terminated the solution process initiated in 2013 for the solution of the Kurdish problem, which has a century-old history, have termnated the process in 2015 and resumed with the war policies again and the isolation policy against PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan was broken as a result of hunger strikes and the death fasts. As a result of these actions, the gates of İmralı had to be opened and Öcalan's lawyers held two meetings with Öcalan after 8 years. The PKK leaderwho conveyed his meesage through his brother and his lawyers to the public, pointed out the ineffectiveness of the war policies that the power has continued to this day, once again inviting everyone to assume responsibility for social reconciliation, democratic politics, democratic negotiation and honorable peace.   However both the political power and the opposition except HDP who are locked in the renewal of the İstanbul elections instead of the Kurdish issue that affects the future of the country and the people as a whole have not yet responded to these warnings and calls made by Öcalan.   People's Democratic Party (HDP) Mardin MP Tuma Celik stated that the 2013 declaration must be put in to practice and evaluated Öcalan's message.      Çelik who stated that Öcalan once again wrote a correct recipe in 2013, said: "What was presented in 2013, which the government insisted on not doing actually reveals how off the base the government is. We need to reach the common facts to secure the coexistance of the differences in Turkey. And those facts was presented in 2013. Now, if you impose monopoly in a country whose natural structure is pluralistic, it is impossible for that country to survive. Therefore, what Öcalan expressed in 2013 is still valid today. Anyways, no steps were taken to provide the social consensus and the pluralistic structure of Turkey yet.Especially in this last period, an inverse effort was continued. We all suffered from this. In order to end these suffering and to establish a healthy future for us, the declaration in 2013 needs to be implemented."       The HDP MP also mentioned Öcalan's messages about Syria. In his messages, Öcalan suggested that the Democratic Forces of Syria (DSG), which he wanted them to avoid conflict, should aim to achieve a constitutional guarantee within the framework of the integrity of Syria and to reach a solution in the perspective of local democracy.
