Hasass who stated that he could not remain unresponsive and that's why he joined the hunger strikes, said being a part of this honourable struggle gives him strength and morale. Hasass said: "We felt like doing something about the isolation on Mr. Öcalan was actually doing something for ourselves. Because the isolation on him was the isolation on the Kurdish community as well. He is resisting for us in İmralı. We could not stay silent anymore."     Hasass who added that it is not the time to talk, it is the time for action, said: " Our people should stand shoulder to shoulder with the mothers who are continuing a dignified resistance.Every one should assume responsibility. Mothers did. It tears our hearts out that they are being battered and insulted by the police. The youth must be an answer to this process. It is our mothers that taught us our history, our verbal culture, the dengbej, the struggle. If we can't protect them, there is no meaning in talking. It is not the time to talk. It is time for action."
