Mothers write letter to the Minister of Justice 2019-04-29 17:25:13 SİİRT - Peace Mothers and the relatives of the prisoners in Siirt have written a letter to the Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül and demanded the isolation to be removed. Peace Mothers and relatives of the hunger striker prisoners who gathered in People's Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial Building, marched to Siirt Post Office to send the letter they wrote to the Minister of Justice.HDP Deputies Meral Danış Beştaş and Sıdık Taş accompanied the group.   HDP Deputy Meral Danış Beştaş who made a press statement in front of the post office, stating that mothers are being the voice of their children, said: "We are here to send a letter to the Minister of Justice. It has almost been 6 months since the hunger strikes began and the government is still turning a blind eye on the hunger strikers.We are face to face with a remorseless government."     Beştaş who stated that the isolation must be removed, said: "The government is ordering an unlawful torture on people. Isolation is torture. It is a crime against humanity Thousands of political prisoners have laid their bodies to hunger in order to secure peace, equality and for the removal of the isolation. They just demand that Turkey should apply their already existing laws."   Beştaş condemned the attitude of the police to the mothers.   After the press statement, Peace Mothers, relatives of the prisoners and the deputies have sent their letter to the Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül.
