
Police blocade to HDP Provincial building for 'Mandate'

	DİYARBAKIR- The elected HDP Co-mayors of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipalities and the Co-mayors of 4 districts of Diyarbakır will apply to the provincial Election Board to get their mandates.

	People's Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayors Selçuk Mızraklı and Hülya Alökmen Uyanık, Yenişehir Municipality Co-Mayors Belgin Diken and İbrahim Çiçek, Kayapınar Municipality Co-Mayors Necati Pirinççioğlu and Keziban Yılmaz and Bağlar Municipality Co-Mayors Zeyyat Ceylan and Zübeyde Zümrüt, Sur Municipality Co-mayors Filiz BUluttekin and Cemal Özdemir, and the Aldermens will apply to Provincial Election Board.

	Police officers have been placed around the HDP provincial building, which has been under siege since November 20, 2018, prior to the application of HDP members. Hundreds of police, as well as 6 TOMA (Watercannons) and a large number of armored vehicles blockaded the provincial building and the traffic was closed to all vehicles around the area.

	&nbsp;

	In the meantime, intensive police measures were taken in the vicinity of the building of the Provincial Election Board in Kayapınar district.
