Indictment prepared for Ömer Öcalan on grounds that he did not react to the Co-chair of his party 2019-04-04 12:27:28 ANKARA- An indictment was prepared about HDP Urfa Deputy Ömer Öcalan on grounds that he did not react to the speech of his party's Co-chair Pervin Buldan and Group Deputy Chairperson Fatma Kurtalan and that he joined the hunger strike action for 3 days to support Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven who is on hunger strike for 148 days today.   One of the subjects of theinvestigation conducted by Diyarbakır Chief Prosecutor's Office on November 9, 2018 is the press statement made by Fatma Kurtalan and Pervin Buldan, protesting the fact that 142 people including HDP deputies, provincial and district executives  taken under custody in scope of an investigation on October 9 and tha fact that HDP Urfa Deputy Ömer Öcalan did not react to that speech which is later considered to be 'propaganda of an illegal organization' in the indictment prepared.   Also, in an investigation launched by Urfa Chief Prosecutor's Office on December 7, 2018, the fact that Ömer Öcalan have joined the hunger strike for 3 days to suuport Güven was added to the indictment on grounds that he was 'praising the crime and the criminal'.
