22 people including HDP members detained in Urfa

	URFA- 22 people taken under custody including HDP executives, in scope of the home raids conducted in Halfeti and Birecik

	 

	Turkish military and police forces carried out house raids in Halfeti and Birecik districts of Urfa province early Wednesday morning.

	 

	In Halfeti, gendarmerie took 13 people into custody and the detainees have been taken to Göklü Gendarmerie Station.

	 

	In Birecik district center and its rural neighborhoods, 9 people were detained during house raids. The detainees include HDP Birecik district branch co-chair Dilan Taş and HDP former district branch co-chair İbrahim Yeşiltepe.

	 

	On the other hand, detention period has been extended for 9 people who had been detained during house raids in Siverek district of Urfa on March 29.

	 

	The detainees were reportedly tortured under custody.
