Voters in Diyarbakır going to polls in the shadow of 19 thousand soldiars and police

	DİYARBAKIR - 8 thousand 340 police and 10 thousand 364 troops were appointed in order to ensure election security in Diyarbakır. In the city, the police stationed in front of the HDP Provincial Organization building, which has been deployed since November 20, was removed this morning.

	Diyarbakır Governorate made a written statement about the number of police and soldiers assigned in the elections of March 31st Local Administrations and Neighborhood Headmen and Elders Committees.The statement was read,'In order to conduct the voting in peace and security, the wills of our people to be reflected to the ballot boxes without any oppression, to avoid any disruption before, during or after the elections, our law enforcement units have taken all necessarry measures at the polls until healthy results are reached."

	 

	18 THOUSAND POLLING CLERCKS ON DUTY

	 

	Governorate announced that  1 million 48 thousand 250 people in the city in 3 thousand 624 ballot boxes, 8 thousand 340 security personnel and 10 thousand 364 gendarmerie personnel, including a total of 18 thousand 704 security officers were assigned.

	 

	THE POLICE BLOCADE IN FRONT OF THE HDP BUILDING REMOVED

	 

	While 18 thousand 704 security guards were assigned in the poll security, the police deployed in front of the People's Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial Organization building since November 20, 2018 were withdrawn as of this morning.

	 

	HDP executives commented on this situation by saying "It is more important to blockade the ballot boxes for the police today"
