'Government wants our children die in prison' 2019-03-30 11:08:15   URFA- Fidan Karadağ, mother of Remziye Karadağ who is on a hunger strike in Elazığ Type T Closed Prison since March 1 demanding the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan who stated that her daughter was 59 kilos and now she is 39, said 'The government wants our children die in prison.'     While the hunger strike Democratic Society COngress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy started, demanding the termination of the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is on its 143rd day,thousands of political prisons in different prisons continue their hunger hunger strike.Fidan Karadağ, mother of Remziye Karadağ (25) who is on a hunger strike in Elazığ Type T Closed Prison since March 1, stating that she is concerned about her daughters health, said she feels the hunger of her daughter.Karadağ who reacted to the silence of the government about the hunger strikes, said 'Do they want funerals coming out of prisons?, said 'The government who turned a blind eye to these hunger strikes is assumingly want our children die in prison.'     Karadağ who stated that she warned her daughter not to join the hunger strikes because she is sick, said her daugther did not listen to her and was very determined, said: "We can not do anything. Why don't the people say something? It's not just my daugther, thousands of people are on hunger strike in prisons today.We don't want funerals coming out of there.Our children are dying in prisons. How can I bear that as a mother? No mother can bear that. Why don't the CPT go monitor the prisons? They should go check the hunger strikers. My daughter is dying in prison. I can not do anything. She was 59 kilos before the hunger strikes. Now she is 39.She might not make it to her next phone call."
