'Election will be a voice for the hunger strikes' 2019-03-28 12:52:21   DİYARBAKIR- TJA Activist Ayşe Gökkan, stating that women said 'No' to the current system in the Newroz celebrations, underlined that the elections will be a voice for the hunger strikes.   Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA) activist Ayşe Gökkan evaluated the Newroz celebrations in the persperctive of the women for Mezopotamya Agency (MA).Gökkan who stated that the participation of the women in the Newroz Celebrations have increased visibly this year, assessed that the fact that women have filled the streets from March 8 to Newroz is showing that they are claiming their achievments. Gökkan who stated that the prominence of the women in the Newroz celebrations will reflect to the March 31 Elections, said this reflection will be a reaction to the AKP-MHP block. Gökkan said the women have conveyed the message that the women are no longer accepting the constricting practices of the government and that they do not want this system anymore.     Gökkan who underlined that the AKP Government is a misogynist government, said: "We are calling on to everyone, the women will have to protect the ballot boxes on the election day. They have to raise their voices whereever they are I am calling on to everyone who wants democracy and peace against AKP-MHP fascism: the society will have a break down if the isolation is not terminated. We have to knock every door and warn everyone about the AKP-MH fascism. This is the only way to strengthen the resistance against fascism. Leyla Güven said, the hunger can not kill me, but the silence can. AKP-MHP fascism is willingly staying silent about the hunger strikes. But the election will be a voice for the hunger strikes."
