People taken under custody at the funeral of Medya Çınar was battered 2019-03-27 13:43:42 MARDİN- According to the information obtained, Mehmet Zeki Akgül and İbrahim Öner who were waiting in front of the hospital to claim the body of Medya Çınar who ended her life protesting the isolation, was battered. Akgül and Öner who have  evidence of battery on their bodies will file a complaint. Hundreds of people gathered in front of the hospital morgue where the body of Medya Çınar who ended her life to protest the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan was being kept and the police intervened to the group waiting. Mehmet Zeki Akgül and İbrahim Öner was taken under custody during the police intervention.     It was learned that the two people, who were released after their depositions,  were battered under custody. While Öner had traces of battery and scars, Akgül had a purple eye and scars over his nose. Öner and Akgül who recieved an assault report , will file a criminal complaint via their lawyers.   'WE WERE INSULTED AND BATTERED'   Akgül who stated that he was subjected to indignified behavior during custody, said they inflicted violence on them.    'THEY LAID US ON THE GROUND, CLUBBED AND PUNCHED US'    Öner who stated that they were just there to claim the body ,said: "There was no provocation in any way. But the cops there came and insulted us, and swore at us. We expressed ourselves. We were taken into custody."   Öner who described the attitude of the law enforcement as 'hostile', said "They were able to do these things where there were no cameras. We were thrown in the car, clubbed,punched,kicked and insulted."   Suggesting that they are in negotiation with their lawyers and will make a criminal complaint, stressed that they will struggle to prosecute those responsible until the end.
