
Family of Ayten Beçet who ended her life, is on the way to İstanbul

	KOCAELİ- &nbsp;The family of Ayten Beçet who ended her life to protest the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalanis on the way to İstanbul. Beçet who is in prison for the last 6 years, have ended her life about 05.00 in the morning.Accordng to the information obtained, Beçet is being kept at Forensic Medical Institution in İstanbul, Yenibosna.

	Father Beçet said his 24 year old daughter have been in prison since she was 18. Beçet was sentenced to 9 years with the accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization' by Adana 6th Criminal Court in 2012.

	&nbsp;

	The family who got on the way from Antep, expected to be in İstanbul at dawn. The mortal remains of Beçet will be brought back to Antep where it will be laid to rest.

	&nbsp;

	According to the information obtained by Beçet's friends from her ward, she ended her life around 05.00 in the morning. The prisoners who realized what she had done, told that they intervened but it was too late.

	&nbsp;

	On March 17, political prisoner Zülküf Gezen ended his life to protest the isolation, in Tekirdağ Prison where he was being kept as a prisoner. Gezen was laid to rest in the Yeniköy Cemetery in Amed (Diyarbakır).

	&nbsp;

	Ugur Sakar, who had set himself on fire in Krefeld, Germany on 20 February to protest the isolation, lost his life on 22 March in the hospital he was being treated in.
