
Parents of Zülküf Gezen started the Newroz fire

	DİYARBAKIR- Parents of Zülküf Gezen who ended his life to protest the isolation on Abdullah Öcalan started the fire of Newroz in Diyarbakır where thousands attended.

	The Newroz celebration held by People's Democratic Party (HDP) was held this year with the slogan, 'We will definately win and break the isolation'. Thousands of people drew attention to the DTK Co-chair and the hunger strikes in the Newroz celebrations.

	The flame of Newroz was fired by the parents of Zülküf Gezen who ended his life in Tekirdap No 2 Type F Prison to protest the isolation of the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan with slogans. Thousands of people shouted the slogans 'Leyla Güven is our honour', 'Bijî berxwedana zindana' and 'Zülküf Gezen is immortal'.
