Mother of Çağlar who set his body on fire for Efrin: No one should live through this pain 2019-03-20 13:53:06 MUŞ- Family of Sefer Çağlar who died setting his body on fire,reacting to the operation in Efrin, stated that the hunger strikes are in a critical threshold and made a call that steps must be taken in order to prevent people from living through the same pain they did.   Sefer Çağlar who was being kept in Van High Security Prison, set his body on fire on March 19, 2018 to protest the operation Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) was carrying out against Efrin. Çağlar have lost his life after a day in the hospital. His mother and father who are still grieving for their child, said the hunger strikes are in a critical threshold in the world and in prisons.     Gönül Çağlar who said his son was subjected to torture and maltreatment, said she wanted those people who tortured her son punished and said: "I don't want anyone else to live through the pain I did. No mother should cry. We don't want our children dying. We want law, peace and justice."
