The hunger strike of Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven is on its 132nd day with the demand of the removal of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The hunger strikes political prisoners started on December 16,2018 have spreaded to all prisons on March 1.   Democratic Districts Party (DBP) Siirt former Provincial Co-chair Reşit Teymur (25) who is incarcerated in Elazığ No 2 High Securtiy Prison, is on hunger strike since February 4.Teymur whose family moved to Maxmur in Federal Kurdistan District because of the oppression, is sentenced to 31 years with the accusation of 'Managing an illegal organization'.   Nazım Teymur who is incarcerated since 2016, stated that his nephew is being kept in solitary confinement for 44 days on hunger strike, said: "This is a humane and lawful demand for rights. This is the only kind of actuality one can perform incarcerated. The people out there has more rights then we do, therefore they have to do something about this and they have to do all that they can."
