Isloation is the worst king of torture there is. CPT is in cooperation with Turkey right now and they are managing the process of death together." PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan who was turned over to Turkey with the hands of international forces in 1999 and is being kept in isolation in İmralı island, haven't been able to see his attorneys since July 27, 2011 and with the İmralı Committee since April 5,2015. Öcalan was able to see his brother Mehmet Öcalan briefly on January 12 and than the communication was lost again. Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven is on hunger strike since November 8 with the demand of the termination of the isolation. While the hunger tsrike of the prisoners who started the hunger strike on December 16 , 2018 is on its 92nd day, the hunger strike spreaded to all prisons on March 1. Prisoner Zülküf Gezen who protested the government who turns a bling eye to the demand, ended his life. Gezen's body was detained and buried by the police in Diyarbakır late last night.   Mehmet Öcalan who reacted to the isolation on Abdullah Öcalan, said that the government should routinize the visitation at once to prevent the deaths in the hunger strike actions. Öcalan who reminded that the prisoners have the right to visitation every 15 days according to law, said they have been applying to Bursa Chief Prosecutor's Office regularly and yet they have been rejecting all their applications of various pretexts.   Brother Öcalan who stated that if the isolation of Öcalan is to be removed, everyone would be better off, said the international forces has a part in this aggravated isolation. Mehmet Öcalan who reminded that the international forces kidnapped Öcalan and turned him over to Turkey, said: "There is also the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT). The CPT should act immediately. The CPT is silent now regarding the isolation. Isolation is the worst of tortures. Both the CPT and the international forces sees the hunger strikes in Europe. They have to put an end to these dirty policies. The CPT should be pressured and mobilized for Öcalan. CPT currently is in cooperation with Turkey. They run along the death process with Turkey. We cannot accept this."
