Petition to the Ministry of Justice to remove the isolation of Öcalan from the HDP 2019-03-14 15:49:59   ANKARA- HDP Urfa Deputy Ömer Öcalan submitted a petition to the Ministry of Justice for them to terminate the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.   The petition is as follows: "Mr. Abdullah Öcalan who is a prisoner in İmralı High Security Closed Prison is prevented from meeting with his attorneys and his family since July 27, 2011. Since July 21, 2016, no connection has been established with Mr. Öcalan due to the continuous prohibition of the use of communication and communication tools by the 1st Execution Judge.     Since the fundamental human rights and freedoms guaranteed by universal principles and national laws cannot be discussed, the fact that Mr. Öcalan cannot be visited  by his lawyers for more than seven years, and with his family for two and a half years despite all attempts is against the law. I would like to emphasize the fact that his legal rights should be established immediately as the 15-20 minute interviews in order to confirm the right to life, cannot be evaluated within this scope. The hunger strikes initiated by MPs and political prisoners in various prisons have become very critical for the termination of the isolation. For all these reasons; We demand the regime to be implemented which is being implemented for every prisoner, and the prohibition of any kind of visitation with Mr. Abdullah Öcalan to be removed as soon as possible. "
