4 out of 6 brothers seen prison, one died in Rojava, one on hunger strike: We will make history with our resistance 2019-03-05 10:58:13   HAKKARİ- Cihan Tamur who has been on a hunger strike for 80 days in Van Type T Closed Prison, said: "We are rebellious Kurdish youngsters. We will make history with this resistance" via his father whom he talked on the phone in prison. Mother Hanife Tamur who said 4 of her children have seen the life in prison, said: "The tyranny continues."   Cihan Temur from Van Type T Closed Prison is one of the many political prisoners who joined the hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress Co-chair Leyla Güven who demanded the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Tamur who has been on a hunger strike for 80 days, is in prison for 7 years now.   Father Tamur who lives in Hakkari, Yüksekova, said he has been taken under custody many times since 1989, was tortured and jailed many times. Tamur whose 6 children grew up in prisons and police stations, said his daughter Hacer Tamur (Delila Gover) was killed fighting ISIS in Kobané in 2014.   Tamur who emphasized that the demand of the hunger strikers are the demands of everyone who persue peace, democracy and equality, said: "When Iwas arrested, Cihan was only 5 years old. We had a picture of us from back then. That Cihan is in prison for 7 years now. Delila fell a martyr. I saw Cihan in the open visitation on monday. He have lost 15 kilos. He is suffering from loss of hearing, eyesight, dizziness, nausea. He had a nose bleed right in front of me. Their morale is high despite all this."   Father Tamur who said his son has a message for the Kurdish community conveyed his son's message where he said: "We are rebellious Kurdish youngsters. We will make history with this resistance. We will see this through the end."
