CHP Deputy Yüceer: The statements of the authorities are legitimizing harassment

	ANKARA- CHP Deputy Candan Yüceer who stated that the statements of the authorities are legitimizing the harrassment about the police harrassing Merve Demiral while taking under custody.

	Republican People's Party (CHP) Tekirdağ Deputy Candan Yüceer reacted to the statements of AKP and the police headquarters legitimizing harrassment.

	 

	'THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR HARRASMENT'

	 

	Yüceer who spoke to Mezopotamya Agency (MA) stating that the attitude of the government towards sexual abuse and harrassment is pathetic, said their statements are seditious. Yüceer said: "Their statements claimin his father is a member of Fetö, or that it is not harrassment is pathetic. There is no justification for harrassment. The process developed after the incident is very abrasive for the harassment victim and the women." 

	 

	THEY SHOULD BE PUNISIHING BUT THEY ARE DOING THE EXACT OPPOSITE'

	 

	Yüceer continued: "There are visual evidences of the abuse. There is no question that this is sexual abuse. And the deed is done by a public official. This is maltreatment. Even their superiors have responsibility. They should be punishing this police officer, but they are doing the exact opposite."

	 

	'THE JOURNALIST WHO INTERVIEWED MERVE IS UNDER CUSTODY'

	 

	Yüceer who reacted to the fact that the journalist Artı Gerçek reporter Derya Okatan is under custody, said: "They are trying to build a wall between the facts and the journalists. The journalists making news about the facts are facing years of prison sentences. They are trying to prevent the public from knowing the facts. The government is responsible for this."
