Instruction of operation in Mardin was given by Soylu! 2019-02-07 14:18:27   MARDİN- It was learned that the reasons for the detention of the HDP and DBP executives in Mardin were caused by stand in  silence in the candidate presentation meeting, which was  targeted by Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.   Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 15 people were detained in the morning, including the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Mardin Provincial Co-chair Ali Sincar, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chair Şehmuz Çalkan and party leaders.   It was learned that the operation in question was related to the promotion program of the mayors of the municipalities, which was held on January 30th with the participation of HDP Co-chair Pervin Buldan. It was claimed that the march “Çerxa Şoreşê”  and the stand in silence for the memory of the people who lost their lives in the struggle for democracy and peace was considered to be 'propaganda of an illegal organization'.   The process for the people detained continues at the Provincial Security Directorate .
