Decision of non-prosecution given based on the police reports 2019-02-04 11:31:55   ANKARA- Decision of non-prosecution was given for the criminal complaints against  the torture and ill-treatment in Ankara Courthouse and Ankara Provincial Security Directorate Counter Terorism Unit. The Prosecutor's Office completed the investigation without camera footage.   14 people discharged with Law Decrees were taken into custody during home raids who have been protesting in Yüksel Street wanting their jobs back. The attorneys of the 14 people filed a criminal complaint on 13 December because they was beaten at both in Ankara Courthouse and Ankara Provincial Security Directorate Counter Terorism Unit. The prosecutor's office, which completed the investigation within a month, decided there was no need for prosecution.   The attorneys wrote to Ankara Provincial Security Directorate Counter Terorism Unit demanding the surveilence footage, the doctor's report for the duration of their detention and the warrants about them. Then the prosecutor's office made their decision based on only the reports written by the police.    Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TIHV) Member Lawyer Esra Kılıç who reacted to the decision of non-prosecution for the torture and ill-treatment, said they will appeal the decision.
