Teacher's room turned into a police station! 2019-01-24 11:14:25 DİYARBAKIR- The police who were tasked in the school and the surrounding areas use the teacher's room and are involvedin the academic discussions of the instructors. Eğitim-Sen Diyarbakır Branch executive Zülküf Demir who expressed that this creates unease for the teachers, said:" The teachers can not use their own rooms anymore." The police who are tasked with providing security in and around school against drugs and etc. by a common project by Ministry of Education and Ministry of the Interrior, caused anxiety and reaction throughout teachers. Diyarbakır Education-Union (Eğitim-Sen) No 1 Branch executive Zülküf Güneş evaluated the problems of the education year 2018-2019.   Güneş reminding of the project initiated by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of the Interrior said: " This project was promoted as a protection of the children from hazardous substances like drugs. But the police who came for the security of the school uses the teacher's room being involved in the academic, pedagogic, and scientific discussions of the teachers. Güneş, underlining that 11.300 of their members were discharged after the coup attempt, said police' using the teacher's room causes uneasiness for the teachers that they can't even use their own rooms because they fear everything they say is being recorded to be used against them."   Indicating that there are security or consultancy shelters at the entrance of the school and that's where the police must be using, Güneş said: "We have made numerous meetings and briefs about this but they keepusing the teacher's room like their own."
