Parliamentary response to the deputy: Kurdish is not the official language 2019-01-08 10:58:53   ANKARA- While the Parliamentary Press Directorate verbally responded HDP Deputy Gülistan Koçyiğit whose request of a business card in Kurdish denied without a justification, Speaker's office claimed it was not practiced.     The request of a business card in Kurdish of Muş Deputy Gulistan Kılıç Koçyiğit was  denied with the reason that 'Kurdish is not the official language'.  Koçyiğit who placed an order for a business card with two sides, one in Turkish and one in Kurdish, was rejected. When Koçyiğit called the Parliamentary Press Directorate to learn the reason why she was rejected, she was told that 'Kurdish is not the official language.'   'ENGLISH IS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE'   When Koçyiğit reminded the officer in the directorate that there are business cards in languages like English and Arabic, the officer responded her as: "English is the official language'   On the other hand, while HDP Diyarbakır Deputy Garo Paylan's business card was accepted to be in Armanian in his 26th term, this term it was rejected.     There are business cards in Arabic, English and French present in the parliament right now.
