The climate is not guilty ,the government in love with concrete is’

	ANKARA- HDP Deputy Co-chair Murat Çepni stated that the guilty party in the floods in Bodrum is the government who are in love with the concrete.People’s Democratic Party Chief Economy Officer Murat Çepni made a written statement regarding the floods in Bodrum.

	 

	“The responsible party regarding the flood is the government who turned the cities into construction sites.Everytime there a flood occurs the autorities come up an tell how much rain have fallen,claimin this is a natürel event and the fault is nature’s. However, the direct result of the global climate crisis is the abnormal, sudden, rapid and extreme change of weather. It is not the ”climate crisis that is guilty. The guilty are governments, municipalities, companies that create climate crises, who are very fond of concrete and aspahlt and enemies of nature. The government should immediately meet the losses of our fellow citizens in the areas of floods. The government should abandon its ranty, unplanned, public interest policies that turns natural events into disasters. Infrastructure, zoning and all other policies should be adopted as a basic principle to eliminate the causes and consequences of the climate crisis."
