The confidential investigation in Elçi murder makes no headway 2018-11-26 11:38:19 DİYARBAKIR- No progress made in the confidential investigation of Diyarbakır Bar President Tahir Elçi's murder even though 3 years have passed. Attorney Muharrem Erbey who drew attention to the fact that 2 Attorney Generals, 4 prosecutors have shanged through the investigation, the police firing towards elçi are still considered witnesses. Term Bar President Tahir Elçi who wanted to protest the damage done on Quadrupedal Minaret by the clashes in Diyarbakır, Sur, have made a press statement under the minaret on November 28, 2015. Elçi was shot while the police was firing against two people running in their direction at the time. A confidentiality order was issued about the case Diyarbakır Chief Prosecutor's Office filed about the killing of Elçi. Authorities made statements about the case, but no progress was made about the case even though 3 years have passed since the incident except a few witnesses was found.   While 2 Attorney Generals and 4 prosecutors have changed in the case, no image was found, or wanted to be found, that showed the time of the murder even though there were numerous cameras present in the scene. In the images recorded by the police, the 13 seconds that Elçi got shot turned out to be wiped. None of the police weapons were investigated although there were 30 armed police at the time of the shooting. None of the demands made by the lawyers looking into the case was excepted by the prosecution's office.
