Karatay has been sent to solitary confinement  four times in prison before losing his life.

	AĞRI- It has been revealed that Karatay who had a heart attack in Giresun Type E Closed Prison and die,  has been sent to solitary confinement four times in prison before losing his life. Hediye Karatay, his daughter in law, said: " Despite all the applications we did about his health and all the medical reports ve presented, they did not release him."

	 

	Sick prisoner Burhan Karatay (63), patient with high blood pressure who had angiography 4 times before, had a heart attack and lost his life in Giresun Type E Closed Prison . Even though Karatay who had many health issues due to his old age presented medical reports and applied for his release many times, he wasn't released from the prison he was put with the charge of "being a member of an illegal organization".

	 

	'HE WAS SENT TO SOLITARY CONFINEMENT 4 TIMES EVEN THOUGH HE WAS SICK'

	 

	 Hediye Karatay who emphasized that Burhan Karatay was continuosly under pressure and being battered by the prison guards said: " We heard the guards voices during the phone calls. They were always intervening and battering him. He was sent to solidatry confinement 4 times even though he was sick before he died. How could a sick man handle all that violence and oppression?

	 

	Hediye Karatay who stated that they will continue their search for justice, added that they will apply to ECHR and never let go of this negligence.
