Support for Leyla Güven from TJA : Segregation is a crime against humanity 2018-11-14 14:58:28   DİYARBAKIR-  TJA who seconded arrestee DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven who went on a hunger strike to protest the segregation of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan said segregation is a crime against humanity.   Democratic Society Congress Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) parliamentarian Leyla Güven who got arrested on January 31 because of her statements about Efrin and her social media shares, announced that she's going on an hunger strike to protest the segregation of Öcalan on her third hearing on November 7. Free Women Movement (TJA) supported Güven with a press statement on the 8th day of her hunger strike.   HDP Yenişehir District Co-chair Demet Özkaran who read the statement reminding Güven's words  " I want to emphasize the fact that Mr. Öcalan has a mission to secure the peace in Turkey's society. I am going on a hunger strike until Mr. Öcalan is visited." and said TJA women finds the decision justified, and that segregation is a crime against humanity.
