ECHR must retore trust about the Cizre case 2018-11-14 13:18:44   ANKARA- İHD Co-chair Öztürk Türkdoğanwho evaluated the Cizre case that was seen yesterday at ECHR said: "If the coartboard does not rule infriction, it will show that the ECHR is not aiming justice but instead they favour the governments."   The case of Cizre during curfews was seen in European Human's Right Court yesterday. Turkey was asked what sort of precautions they had for the peoples right to live in the case appealed in the name of Ömer Elçi and Orhan Tunç, in France, Strasburg. Human's Rights Association Co-chair Öztürk Türkdoğan who prepared the reports about the curfews evaluated the case file .   Türkdoğan who indicated "I hope ECHR considers the criticism about them and stays focused on justice" said: "    “Umuyorum ki AİHM’in son verdiği kararlar yönünde kendisine yapılan eleştirileri de göz önüne alarak adaletten şaşmaz” diyen Türkdoğan, şöyle konuştu: Turkey have been in an intense state of lobbying since 2015 and it has its effect on ECHR. I hope this effect fades. It has to be. Otherwise the trust for ECHR will dissappear and this might be their last chance.Accordingly, I think ECHR will restore trust with its verdict. Because after this process we will publish the reports we prepared and presented to them. What documents Turkey have send, what kind of an attitude ECHR had, what did we say and present.. If the verdict will not be infriction, it will show that the ECHR is not aiming justice but instead they favour the governments."
