Deaths in military posts have increased : People must be given the right to conscientious objection 2018-10-26 11:45:32 ANTALYA- Suspicious Military Deaths and Victims Association attorney Ahmet Çevik, demanded that people must be given the right to conscientious objection, because every suspicious death in the military posts are homicides and the investigations usually declared nonsuit. Lately, suspicious soldiar deaths have increased under the name of 'suicide' during the mandatory military duty . Ömer Faruk Demirkol who served at İslahiye Gendermerie Station and Mehmet Boztepe who served in Ankara said to have committed suicide.   Suspicious Military Deaths and Victims Association attorney Ahmet Çevik,said : " All suspicious deaths are homicides. And his family wants his death to be investigated."    'THERE IS NO EFFECTIVE AND FAIR TRIAL '   Çevik stating that suspicious soldiar deaths are usually declared nonsuit, said : "ECHR usually decides against Turkey in this matter. They usually sentence Turkey to pay indemnification due to violation of right to live. These trials are never effective and fair in Turkey."   TOO MANY DEATHS   Çevik, " Suspicious soldiar deaths increases in the times of conflict. And during peace, the death of soldiars hintherland is more than it is in the front line."   Çevik stated that people should have the right to conscientious objection.
