Man who systematically raped child releases after court order

	ISTANBUL - Ebuzeyid Gülsün, a man who raped and brutalized a child in Küçükçekmece for 3 years, was released by a court order. The child's relative F. called for solidarity against the release of the perpetrator.

	 

	It was revealed that a child in Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul has been systematically subjected to rape and violence by a man named Ebuzeyid Gülsün since 2021. According to JINNEWS, the family filed a complaint against the perpetrator after the child reported the incident. The perpetrator was taken into custody and on August 13, Küçükçekmece Public Prosecutor's Office referred him to court with a request for arrest. However, the court decided to release the perpetrator on judicial control conditions. The family objected to the release of the perpetrator.

	 

	Speaking about what happened, F., a relative of the child, stated that they filed a complaint based on what the child told them.  Stating that the perpetrator was released after being detained, F. said, “He has a strong back. He did everything to be released. We have no one. We are asking for help from everyone. I appeal to all women's organizations, let's do whatever it takes. Our daughter's psychological condition is very bad. All I want is for her to go to prison and serve her sentence. He is an ambulance driver. I know he is a member of AKP, otherwise would he be released? I demand that he be tried under arrest. I want him to go to prison. He started making threats and swearing. One of his nephews is a police, one of his brothers is a prison guard. We are looking for our rights. You all have children. We ask for support from all of you. We will not give up looking for our rights. We will follow this.  I want him to get the harshest punishment. This person is still out there. We want to make our voices heard.”
