Appeals ministry to meet  Abdullah Öcalan

	ANKARA - DEM Party Riha MP Ömer Öcalan has applied to the Ministry of Justice for a meeting with Abdullah Öcalan, who has not been heard from for 41 months. 

	Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Riha (Urfa) MP Ömer Öcalan has applied to the Ministry of Justice for a meeting with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been held in absolute isolation in Imrali Type F High Security Closed Prison and has not been heard from for 41 months. 

	 

	The following statements were included in the application petition: “As his family, we have not heard from Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, who is currently being held in İmrali High Security Closed Penal Institution, and we are concerned about his health condition. As a nephew, I would like to visit Mr. Abdullah Öcalan on 16.08.2024. I request that the necessary action be taken to ensure the meeting.”
