	MÊRDÎN - Former HDP District Co-chair Hatice Gevcan in Kerboran was arrested due to her finalized prison sentence.

	 

	Hatice Gevcan, former Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) District Co-chair, was detained after her house was raided by gendarmerie in the Xelîla rural neighborhood of Kerboran (Dargeçit) district of Mêrdîn (Mardin) in the morning.

	 

	Gevcan, who was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison in a case and whose sentence was approved by the Supreme Court, was taken to the Dargeçit Courthouse. Gevcan, who was taken to the Dargeçit Criminal Court of Peace, was arrested after the verdict was read to her and sent to prison.
