Prosecutor demand for arrest for journalists whose statements were not taken

	IZMIR - 5 journalists, who were detained for 4 days in Izmir, were referred to the judgeship by the prosecutor with a demand for arrest, without even taking their statements.

	Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporters Semra Turan, Delal Akyüz and Tolga Güney, JINNEWS reporter Melike Aydın, Newspaper Duvar Reporter Cihan Başakçıoğlu and Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) press worker Fatma Funda Akbulut, who were detained during a house raid in Izmir on February 13, referred to the prosecutor after the procedures at the police station. The journalists who were brought to Izmir Bayraklı Courthouse were referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace without even taking their statements by the prosecutor.
